Personality & Description
Fleur is an interesting combination of tough and girly. She adores eloquent dresses and pretty accessaries such as necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. She’ll brush her hair until it shines and will never step out of the house looking anything other than stunning. However, when it comes down to it her ferocity can’t be beat. She’s willful and strong as well as confident and independent.
Fleur is kind and caring, particularly towards those she's closest to. However, she can come off as rude or snobbish at moments given her blunt nature. Physically she’s quite eloquent and graceful but her words are neither of the kind being direct and honest. She rarely censors her thoughts, saying exactly what is on her mind. Although she might be somewhat gentler when Gabrielle and Bill are involved as she loves her husband and younger sister dearly.
Fleur can be a tad bit frivolous, very much admiring pretty things. However, the money isn’t what matters. She doesn’t care about name brands or the like. She just likes things to look beautiful. (She loves dressing up her younger sister and playing with her hair.)
Fleur is prone to moments of self centeredness but Bill and Gabrielle ground her. She really loves them and cares for them more than anyone else. She would sacrifice herself for either without hesitation. That being said, she will look in the mirror more times than is appropriate, admiring her reflection. She’ll buy pretty things and decorate the house without confirming it’s okay. And although she’s much less of a show off than she used to be she still likes being the center of attention. She’ll wear outfits that tend to stand out and perform impressive feats of magic and such (particularly charms) to grab others attention.
Bill is the only man for her but she can still be a fit flirtatious at moments, using her veela charms to get unsuspecting men to give her a discount at stores and to get men to help carry her bags and things.
Fleur is not a patient sort. And she’s not afraid of letting others know this including Bill and Gabrielle. She can become testy and get sharp.
Fleur likes the way she is. Having high self esteem, it’s very difficult to get to her or shake her self confidence. However, those who are closest to her can cut her deeply. She does worry about being a bit too self centered, fearing she’s overlooking the needs of those closest to her. She works to be strong and competent but she does fear her skills won’t be enough to protect those she holds dear. She still feels incredibly guilty that she wasn’t able to save Gabrielle during the Triwizard tournament. If it hadn’t just been a task in competition she would have lost her sister forever. She doesn’t want to be helpless.
Fleur is incredibly loyal, doing anything to help out her friends and family and she never forgets a favor. She was endeared to Harry and even Ron for helping save her sister Gabrielle during the Triwizard Tournament. She completely changed her tune of condescension, treating them warmly.
Despite having a fondness for all things pretty, beauty is not all that matters to Fleur. She does believe it is important for people to keep up appearances as much as they can and look presentable; but, personalities are more important. She demonstrated this when Bill was scratched by a werewolf. The injury didn’t phase her. She insisted that all the wounds showed was that he was brave.

History
Patronus and Memory: Wolverine. Marrying Bill.
Boggart and Memory: Bill or Gabrielle dying. Watching Alastar Moody die.
Boggart and Memory: Bill or Gabrielle dying. Watching Alastar Moody die.
Being the only child for 10 years, Fleur was quite accustomed to being the center of attention. Her parents doted on her and let their affections be well known. She had the finest clothes and finest toys. Anything she wanted she got. She found she rather enjoyed being the center of attention and was ecstatic to learn that her veela charms could draw eyes her way. She was all too happy to use such skills to convince adults to give her candy or pretty things when her parents took her to Diagon Alley.
When Fleur was 10 Gabrielle was born. At first she was rather concerned about how this new addition to the house would impact her. She very much liked being the only child. But her parents took pains to show her that she was just a loved as ever and Fleur quickly took to the infant. She could be quite adorable when she wasn’t crying or screaming. When she indulged in such shameless behavior Fleur would leave it to her parents to deal wtih.
When she turned 11 she received her letter inviting her to Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. Feeling the need to remain the center of attention, she worked hard to be top of every single one of her classes and dazzle her friends, rivals, and enemies alike with the spells she could perform. Although in general Fleur was impatient she was also stubborn and strong willed. Once she set her mind on something, she couldn’t be easily swayed from her course of action. And she decided she would be top of all her classes and the envy of all with her beauty and brains.
Plenty of people found her snobbish and arrogant and back then she pretty much was. Although you’d be hard pressed to find a boy who would say anything bad about her. Yes, she really loved using her veela charms, especially when it came to making a girl who’d antagonized her cry. Fleur could be a trifle vindictive. If someone offended her or upset her she didn’t bury the hatchet quickly or cleanly. She wanted to see tears.
Fleur came to love her sister dearly as she saw her grow up when she came home for winter and summer break. She was beautiful, eloquent, and graceful. Although of course not nearly as beautiful, eloquent, and graceful as herself. And she found it endearing the way little Gabrielle would follow her around like a baby chick imprinting on her mother. She spent much time with her, teaching her to control her veela charms. Gabrielle could be a bit too quiet and well mannered for Fleur’s tastes so she tried to get her to open up some more and have fun. As Gabrielle so wanted to be polite, graceful, and eloquent to please both her parents and her sister it could be difficult to get her to laugh; but, when Fleur succeeded the end result was incredibly rewarding. Gabrielle’s laughter was a treasure and she liked to see her adorable little sister be at slightly less serious.
Although Fleur could be incredibly serious herself when it came to her goals and ambitions she knew how to relax and have a good time. She rather enjoyed having fun and causing a ruckus every now and again. Despite being a top student, she was known to break one or two rules when it tickled her fancy. But she was good at staying out of trouble with her charms and with her being such a good student.
During her final year at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic she was thrilled to learn her school would be competing in the Triwizard tournament. She of course would travel to Hogwarts and become champion for Beauxbatons. There was no doubt in her mind that she was the most fit to represent her school.
She was of course pleased to be selected but it was only natural the cup should choose her. She was after all the very best. Her excitement soon turned to disappointment when she learned of Harry Potter’s participation. Having been assured there would be only three experienced champions she was furious to share attention with a fourth one and one who wasn’t even of age for owls. She didn’t think he could possibly hope to compete with the other distinguished students such as herself.
Madame Maxime, having been shown the dragons by Hagrid, warned Fleur that she would need to face them during her first task. Fleur was nervous but resolved. She would best a dragon and bring honor to her school as well as herself.
She drew the miniature Common Welsh Green out of the bag, awarding her the second turn and a chance to fight it. She was grateful to face it over the Horntail. She was happier still to find she didn’t actually need to defeat the dragon but rather grab a golden egg. And the golden egg was lovely to behold. She rather approved. She lured her dragon into a sleeping trance. Her spell was successful but the dragon snored and set her skirt on fire. She extinguished the fire with water and managed to grab her egg. Of course it would have been preferable had her skirt not caught fire but she thought she’d done rather well.
For the Yule Ball, Fleur would have preferred to be accompanied by Cedric Diggory. Surely only another Triwizard Champion would be good enough for her. However, sadly it turned out he’d already asked someone else. So she settled for Roger Davies, captain of Ravenclaw’s Quidditch Team. She spent some of the night complaining about the flaws of Hogwarts and the British Wizarding education system. In her mind Beauxbatons and the French Wizarding education system was superior.
Having successfully decipher the golden egg’s clue for the second task, she cast the bubble-head charm on herself. She was however forced to retire when she was attacked by the Grindylows. Originally she was disgruntled but not too upset. She knew she was good. She’d just made a miscalculation. But then she heard that Gabrille had been taken hostage as the “thing she’d miss most”. She became distraught, horrified of what would happen to her beloved younger sister since she’d been unable to complete the task. For once she didn’t care about appearing graceful or eloquent. She was clearly upset, consumed with guilt for being unable to protect Gabrielle.
She was fighting tears when she saw Harry break the Black Lake’s surface with both Ron and Gabrielle. She ran to them overjoyed, not caring what a spectacle she was making of herself. She kissed both Harry and Ron on each cheek before embracing her sister in a tight hug. She couldn’t express her thanks enough. When she learned she’d been awarded 25 points she said she deserved zero.
Suddenly the tournament didn’t seem so important. Being the best was of no consequence if she didn’t have her younger sister there with her. The near loss of Gabrielle gave Fleur some much needed insight and self reflections. She’d been cold and cruel to both Harry and Ron because they were younger and less than stunning. But they had stopped to save her sister when Cedric, the handsome boy she’d initially asked out, hadn’t even paused to consider Gabrielle. Clearly her priorities weren’t quite right.
On the morning of the third task she was visited by her mother and her sister. She met Bill Weasley and was immediately attracted to him. When she wanted something, she went after it. She used Ron as an excuse to strike up a conversation. "You must be the older brother of that wonderful boy who helped save my sister!” She subtly confirmed he was single and found out that he worked at Gringots. Since she had been planning on staying in England after graduation to improve her English she was resolved to work near him and make him hers. (Although she knew he was currently working in Egypt she hoped he might come back to England for good at some point.) And she hoped she could win the tournament to impress him.
In terms of the tournament, things did not work out quite the way she had planned. Barty Crouch Jr. disguised as Mad Eye Mood used Moody’s magical eye to locate Fleur and then stunned her. After she was dragged out of the maze and revived she was witness to Cedric’s corpse when Harry was transported back to Hogwarts. Unlike many at Hogwarts she believed Harry’s tale about Voldemort’s return. He had proven his strength of character when he rescued Gabrielle. She trusted him completely. She hoped one day she could help him like he’d helped her.
Wishing to improve her English and help in the efforts against the Dark Lord she moved to London. She intentionally chose to work part time at Gringots so she could meet Bill again. (She eventually joined The Order of the Phoenix.) The two dated for a year before Bill proposed to her.
After joining The Order of the Phoenix Fleur became scared that Gabrielle would be taken as a hostage again to get to her. Being convinced that Gabrielle would be safest closer to her, she convinced her parents to give her custody of Gabrielle. Matters were discussed with Dumbledore and it was agreed that she would attend Hogwarts when she turned 11 rather than Beauxbatons.
After Fleur accepted Bill’s proposal the two of them spent some time at the Burrrow so she could get to know the family. She was a clever person and knew that Ginny and Mrs. Weasley didn’t approve of her but that didn’t stop her from being herself. She loved Bill and she was going to be a part of their family. It was best they saw her for who she was. She was convinced they would come around. Bill encouraged her when Ginny and Mrs. Weasley gave her a particularly tough time. It also helped that Ron, Harry, and Mr. Weasley stuck up for her.
During the Battle of the Astronomy Tower, Bill was brutally savaged by the werewolf, Fenrir Greyback, but fortunately not at full moon, so Bill did not become a werewolf though he did inherit some wolf-like qualities. Fleur rushed to Hogwarts with Bill’s parents to see how her fiancé was fairing. She became enraged when Mrs. Weasley implied that she might no longer want to marry Bill or that his feelings towards her might have changed because of werewolf contamination. She insisted that the only thing the scars proved was that Bill was brave and that she was beautiful enough for the both of them. Acknowledging the sincerity of Fleur’s and Bill’s feelings for one another, Mrs. Weasley became much warmer to Fleur. She took care of Bill’s injuries and later attended Dumbledore’s funeral.
With her fiancé, Fleur joined in Mad-Eye’s Seven Potters plan to help get Harry to the safety of the burrow. Fleur drank Polyjuice Potion and disguised herself as Harry, accompanied by Bill on a thestral. To her horror she witnessed the death of Mad-Eye by Voldemort himself. After she and Bill managed to escape at least a dozen Death Eaters and reach the burrow safely, she cried for Moody’s loss. She’d grown quite fond of him. The two had bonded over their work and become friends. (They had an interesting relationship where she called him “Mad-Eye” to his face. He was amused by her blunt words and the way she didn’t seem perturbed at all by his eye instead choosing to be honest about it with her “Mad-Eye” comments.”)
Fleur and Bill had a very happy wedding. The celebration however was overshadowed by the news that the Ministry of Magic had fallen to Lord Voledemort. Death Eaters broke the protective spells surrounding the Burrow and entered the reception. Fleur helped stall for time so Harry, Ron, and Hermione could escape. She was questioned along with the rest of the Weaslies; but, was later released.
Bill and Fleur moved into a home by the seaside called Shell Cottage which use to belong to Bill’s aunt. Later they were visited by Ron who seemed to have had a falling out with Harry and Hermione. Fleur was understanding and non-judgemental, being able to see Ron greatly regretted his decision. She told him that no one was perfect and that everyone had moments they were ashamed of and would give anything to take back. “I used to be really snobbish and stuck up.” She chuckled. “Well some people still think I’m that way; but, I changed for the better. I got a second chance. You will too.”
Later Harry, Ron, and Hermione escaped from Malfoy Manor along with Dean Thomas, Luna Lovegood, Garrick Ollivander and Griphook . Fleur and Bill helped look after everyone. She helped Hermione recover from the torture she suffered at the hands of Bellatrix Lestrange, and healed Griphook's legs with Skele-Gro. Although she really disliked Griphook. Despite her negative feelings for the goblin she still looked after him. She was concerned when Harry left, wishing he would remain at the cottage and be safe. She was afraid if he left she’d never see him again. After all, he was wanted by the dark lord. And she’d seen the way Voldemort looked at her when he was convinced she was him.
She became friendly with Luna, Dean, and Ollivander. She grew particularly fond of Ollivander and asked him to return the tiara she had worn for her wedding, to Bill's Aunt Muriel.
After the break in at Gringotts it became necessary for Fleur and him to go into hiding. It was obvious her husband was quite upset that Ron hadn’t clued him in on the break in. She tried to get Bill to see that it was nothing personal. The less people who knew the better. And Ron likely didn’t want Bill to get in trouble at work. He could honestly deny having any prior knowledge of the plan.
Fleur tried to help the Order of Phoenix as much as possible when they were in hiding. And when the Battle of Hogwarts was announce she ran to the castle with Bill to fight alongside him, being extremely grateful that her younger sister who had just started at Hogwarts that year would be too young to participate. She hoped she’d be safe.
Fleur saw too many people fall. Along with everyone else, when there was a break in the fighting she helped move bodies and mourn.
She was horrified to find that Fred had died and she grieved for his passing and for the mark it would leave on her husband who knew him far better than she ever had. She tried to comfort him as best she could. She fears she wasn’t as helpful as she’d like because she wept for him.
Unlike Bill she refused to believe that Harry was dead. Fleur always believed in her dear friends more than most. She wouldn’t be convinced of their passing or failures until she’d seen or heard definitive proof. She was scared but she held fast to her belief that he would be alright. And in the end he did live.
Fleur was grateful when the battle ended in victory. Hogwarts would be safe for Gabrielle next year and they could try and build a brighter future.
Fleur did not want her husband to have to support their family all by himself. She was no house wife. Being disgusted with goblins after Griphook’s betrayal, the last thing Fleur wanted to do was help them earn money by working at the bank. Instead she decided to work for the ministry like her husband, only she would teach apparating.
Being disgusted with goblins after Griphook’s betrayal, the last thing Fleur wanted to do was help them earn money by working at the bank. Instead she decided to work for the ministry like her husband, only she would teach apparating.

She insisted that all the wounds showed was that he was brave.[/div][div style="background-color:#777;text-align:center;font-family:Lobster;font-size:25px;margin-bottom:-20px;color:#fff;"]History[/div]
