Personality & Description
Anyone who knew Hannah throughout her years at Hogwarts would think she is nearly a different person after the Second Wizarding War. As a student, Hannah was shy, tiny Hannah Hufflepuff. She stuck to her small group of friends, and was always there for people to lean on. After having been a part of Dumbledore's Army and fighting to defend Hogwarts, she has changed drastically. Hannah is much more hardy and willing to chip in to protect those she loves. The Hufflepuff alumni is proud of herself and her accomplishments, and isn't afraid to tell people about them.
While at work behind the counter of The Leaky Cauldron, Hannah is known to hum a happy tune and swing her hips to the beat. She is generally cheery, though this is only a recent emotion she has added back to her repertoire. She used to be more solemn and gloomy, but she had a stint of a relationship with the one and only Neville Longbottom, and began keeping in touch with her friends from Hogwarts including Leon Carzon. Despite having lost many friends and family to the war, she had many more still there to support her. She loves to make people feel better like others did for her, and friends aren't surprised on down days when she knocks on the door with a plate of brownies and a smile, looking to keep them company.

Boggart and Memory: The dark mark in the evening sky. Arriving home after being pulled from school to find her house in shambles and her mother killed.
As the second of three but the only girl, Hannah was not the typical middle child. She was not known for throwing fits and trying to stand out, she simply did what she was told and sat quietly. From a young age, Hannah would help her mother in the kitchen, and even got to visit The Leaky Cauldron as Tom was an old family friend of Marie.
Hannah got along very well with her older brother Mackenzie, and the two were nearly inseparable. When Hannah was very little, the family of four went to Italy together on vacation. One of Hannah's fondest memories is the last morning of the trip. Marie woke her early while both the men were sleeping, and they walked through the streets of Florence together, hand in hand, enjoying the sunrise.
Soon after the trip, her parents were surprised to learn that there was another Abbott child on the way. The boy was an unexpected gift for the Abbott family, and Hannah was excited to learn that she would no longer be the baby of the household. Soon after Nelson Lucas Abbott was born, however, their father was killed in a car crash. He wasn't the most sober in the family, and it can very much be assumed that he should not have been behind the wheel after a late day at work. He was also the only muggle of the family, meaning he was also the only one who drove. If and when the family ever had contact with muggles, especially James' side of the family, Marie would insist that they could get themselves there, and walking was good for them. They did not need a ride.
Following James' death, the family had to figure out how to make ends meet. Mackenzie was fifteen at the time, and did his best to be a male role model for little Nelson. Hannah tried to help as well, but this only meant doing the dishes and trying to stay out of her mother's hair when she had a free moment, which was not often considering the extra hours she had to take as a healer at St. Mungo's in order to support her three children. Marie would never remarry.
Even though Hannah knew that Mackenzie was a wizard and her mother a witch, she still had doubts that she herself was a witch and would get to go to Hogwarts. She began showing signs of magic at the age of nine, through crazy tidbits around the house that either made life harder or easier, but she had no control over them. Her mother's favorite had always been when she managed to hurl Nelson's baby blanket across the room in order to silence his crying.
Hannah did receive a letter of acceptance to Hogwarts despite her doubts, and was the first to be sorted in 1991, as the first new member of Hufflepuff for the school year. She made immediate friends with fellow first-years Susan Bones, Ernie MacMillan, Justin Finch-Fletchley, and Leon Carzon. The group of them became close for the rest of their time at Hogwarts.
Her first year proved to be somewhat normal, she stuck out of trouble and did the work that she needed to do, quiet as a mouse. Her second year, however, proved much more troublesome. When the Chamber of Secrets was open and Justin was petrified, Hannah and her fellow Hufflepuff friends banded against Harry and believed that he was the heir of Slytherin, blaming him for petrifying students and causing so many disruptions. Near the end of the year, the Hufflepuffs realized that Harry wasn't the heir of Slytherin after Hermione was petrified. Ernie and Hannah personally told the Boy-Who-Lived that they were sorry.
In her third year, Hannah was also known to spout the information that Sirius Black took the form of a flowering shrub, and though not many believed her, her guess wasn't too far from the truth considering Black could take the form of a black dog. In essence, her general theory of transfiguration was true, but not much else.
The Triwizard Tournament proved to be another example of a year in which Hannah did not support Harry in the slightest. Although he was in her year, Hannah proudly rooted for Cedric Diggory as the true Hogwarts Champion, and was spotted wearing a 'Potter Stinks' button that switched periodically to 'Support Cedric Diggory -- the REAL Hogwarts Champion!'. It was not a secret how much she loathed Harry during the tournament. The death of Diggory was heartbreaking for her as well as the other Hufflepuffs. Hannah, as did many others, had her first crush on Cedric, and where other girls first heartbreaks were a simple "no" and lots of blushing, Cedric's was a smidge more dramatic with the return of Lord Voldemort. Despite her dislike for Harry, she did believe him that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was back, and was ready to support her schoolmates. It should also be noted that during the year, she was a member of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class in which Neville Longbottom was frightened to see the Cruciatus curse. Both Hannah and Hermione Granger were noticeably distressed to see their classmate in such mental pain. Hannah and Neville would later bond over their shrunken families and childhood tragedies.
Hannah began to become slightly more rebellious in her fifth year. She was named Hufflepuff prefect alongside Ernie, but this did not stop her from joining Dumbledore's Army in opposition of Dolores Umbridge, her previous resentment of Harry Potter gone. Her rebellious streak did not come without setbacks, and Hannah was very nervous about every "wrong" thing that she did, including going to DA meetings. Herbology had always been one of Hannah's best subjects, but the pressure of the O.W.L. s got to her head and she had a breakdown close to the end of the year in the middle of the class. She became famous for being the first fifth year to need a calming draught in her class prior to the exams. This did not seem to work well enough for her, as she somehow turned a ferret into a flock of flamingos during her Transfiguration exam. She had never done well under pressure. Hannah managed to survive the rest of her O.W.L. s however, and stood by Harry and Dumbledore's Army throughout the rest of the year. In particular, she helped him when he was attacked by members of Slytherin, demonstrating her knack for healing that she had picked up from her mother.
Hannah was only in her sixth year for a short amount of time. Early on, she was pulled out of her Herbology class and told that her mother had been targeted by death eaters and killed. Hannah was to go home immediately, and Nelson was being pulled out of school as well. They did not return until the following year. Mackenzie became their legal guardians and the three siblings spent the year mourning and trying to support each other. Nelson was too young to work, but Mackenzie was already working at Gringotts and Hannah was hired by Tom to work at The Leaky Cauldron on days when she felt like she could get out of bed, and realized she needed to make money for the family. Although he was not a legal guardian, Tom proved to be a father figure for the lonely children by bringing hot meals when Mackenzie or Hannah couldn't make them or just being in the house for them to talk to.
At the start of the new term and what should have been Hannah's seventh year, attendance at Hogwarts was mandatory for both her and Nelson. Since she had missed most of her sixth year, she decided to try and balance both years's workloads at once, which wasn't the smartest decision she had ever made. She had her friends to support her and help her with the load, but for the first time, grades were not the thing on the forefront of Hannah's mind one hundred percent of the time. She was a very active member of the resurrected Dumbledore's Army and found a new sense of strength from the rights-seeking students. Healing began to become Hannah's forte, and if someone couldn't go to the infirmary for injuries, they would go straight to Hannah.
During the Battle, Hannah spent a majority of her time in The Great Hall taking care of the wounded, but also spent a fair deal fighting alongside her DA friends. Much of that was alongside Gryffindor Seamus Finnigan. The two were guarding a secret entrance to the school when they were attacked by a Death Eater and miraculously saved by Harry himself. Hannah, as well as all of her close friends, survived, but she mourned the loss of several students she had known. She was greatly affected by the loss around her, and it was only after the war was over that the realization of not having any parents sunk in.
A witch's seventeenth birthday would normally be a large event, but Hannah's was spent at home with her brothers. The Summer after the battle, Hannah retreated and didn't speak to many people, even her close friends. She was picked up and brightened by none other than Neville Longbottom, who she later dated. The two were crutches for each other after the destruction of a place and world they loved so much, later helping with the rebuilding of Hogwarts, particularly in the greenhouses.
Hannah continued devoting her time to working at The Leaky Cauldron, casting aside healing save a few moments here and there for whatever injuries and problems Nelson got himself into over the Summer. Hannah reached out to many of her friends again, including Leon Carzon and their rag tag gang of Hufflepuffs.
Shortly after becoming a member of The Order of Merlin, Hannah's rebellious streak cost her a bit of her sanity. She was captured by Blood Hunters and held hostage, similar to Christina Roberts. This snapped her back slightly from her new personality, but also riled her up in regards to her allegiance to the Order. Hannah brought a bit of her spunk back to the Leaky, and her return allowed the pub to flourish once more, as Tom grew into old age. Although Tom is still the landlord and owner, Hannah is seen by the public as second in command, despite her young age.

Although Tom is still the landlord and owner, Hannah is seen by the public as second in command, despite her young age.[/div]
