Personality & Description
Roger is a reasonably well liked type of person, even though sometimes he says and does things that socially aren't acceptable. For example - he has a common problem with putting his foot where his mouth is, and makes any situation awkward. Despite that, he's a very loyal and trustworthy person and loves his friends. He doesn't believe in burning bridges, severing ties with people. Everyone he meets is a new friend and an opportunity. Roger was popular at school, regarded as rather handsome, he played Chaser and was the Quidditch Captain in his final year at Hogwarts 1996. He did well at school, being an above average student in some subjects, and top in others. He was often rivaled against Cedric Diggory even though Roger was a year older. They often enjoyed challenging each other on the Quidditch Pitch. All in good fun, of course.
He has always enjoyed being admired (and admiring) by girls, even to the point of asking Fleur Delacour out at the Yule Ball in 1994. He was in his sixth year at that time. He had put his 'foot in his mouth' at this point, being mesmerized by the Veela girl he was accompanying. There were several times where he hadn't heard a word she was saying, and couldn't stop looking at her features. She was so beautiful, it was a hold on him which he couldn't sake off easily. There were accounts of him even attempting to eat food, however missed his mouth and fell into his lap - all because he couldn't stop looking at her. His school years were pretty good. He loved hanging out with his friends, playing Quidditch, reading. He seemed to have a rather competitive streak in him, although didn't belittle others for not having the same amount of ability as he did.
After graduating, he had came back to fight in the war alongside Oliver Wood who had been a rather big inspiration for himself to play Quidditch (being two years older than himself). Flew into Hogwarts to fight. The devastation of the castle, bodies laying around the grounds. It was all too much for him to bear, and felt physically sick. Luckily, he escaped the battle with little physical scaring. A lot of time spent after the battle, Roger spent a lot of time with his muggle family. They weren't much the wiser, although knew that something bad had happened in the 'magic' world. They left him be, and he remained living at home for a year or two after. It was time for him to return when he was 20, although wasn't entirely sure what he could be doing with himself. It took a lot of soul searching for him to realise what he really wanted in life, and that was for someone to love. He wanted nothing more than to start a family.

History
Patronus and Memory: Raccoon. Becoming Quidditch Captain.
Boggart and Memory: A zombie of himself. The war had painted a bad memory in his mind - blood, death, despair. More than he could take.
Boggart and Memory: A zombie of himself. The war had painted a bad memory in his mind - blood, death, despair. More than he could take.
He began attending Hogwarts around 1989 and was sorted into Ravenclaw house. He joined the Ravenclaw Quidditch team as a Chaser and eventually became their Captain. by his Sixth Year. The first few years of his Hogwarts career were ordinary, just like any first year he had a hard time navigating around the castle. He was muggle-born, everything was new to him. Roger dealt with new things easily, he's easily adaptable so found that fitting in wasn't so hard, and his studies became easier with every year that passed. He joined his Quidditch team in his third year, after being inspired by his Quidditch idol, Oliver Wood. His House loved that he played Quidditch and often supported him as their star player.
In 1994, Roger was Fleur Delacour's date at the Yule Ball. He was very taken with the part-Veela witch's beauty and charm. He was so mesmerized, in fact, that he was looking at her the whole time and did not notice what she was actually saying, as well as repeatedly missing his own mouth with his fork while trying to eat. After dancing for some time at the ball, Roger and Fleur left for the gardens, sneaking into the rose bushes for a romantic engagement. There was a lot of other talk around that year about the whole Tri-Wizard Tournament, and that he should have been selected from the Goblet. Even though Cedric Diggory was a bit of a rival in ways (Quidditch, charm, popular, loyal and all around good guy), he supported Cedric as well as Harry during the year. Cheering for the both of them while they went through the tasks.
In his seventh year, according to Cho Chang, Roger asked her to go out with him shortly after the death of Cedric Diggory in June of 1995. She refused, as she was interested in Harry Potter at the time, though she brought this incident up to Harry when they went on a date in 1996 at Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop, apparently to make him jealous.
Roger was also there with his own date for Valentine's Day; Harry watched them for clues as to what to do with Cho, whom he thought was eying Roger as if she wished she were with him instead. When Cho left the teashop in a dramatic and tearful fashion, Roger, along with the rest of the customers in the teashop, looked at Harry, who was left behind. By the time Graduation came, he was offered a job with the British Quidditch League as a Chaser, however postponed the offer to spend some time weighing up his options.
Roger had graduated by the time the war had hit Hogwarts, however that didn't stop him from coming back and assisting Oliver Wood with his brigade of Broom warriors. Coming out of the battle reasonably unscathed physically, he saw a lot of damage from above. Death, destruction of his Hogwarts home, blood laying around and bodies. He became severely impacted by it all, and couldn't deal with the clean up. He saw his peers and friends dead laying around. Roger couldn't help them. He took it upon him self that they had perished in the fight because of his inability to save them in one way or another, and felt that guilt all the way back to his parent's home in London. His parents knew that something was wrong, however Roger didn't want to talk about it - and spent a year or so in the Muggle world to try and escape the nightmares.
It wasn't until he knew that he needed to do something with his life, he missed the wizarding world and all the great things about it. He loved magic and knew that it was time to get back and face his demons. The offer to be in the Quidditch league had expired, and he wanted to find another job in which he could use his empathy skills and charming bedside manner to help others, and was looking into working at the Hospital.
