About Us:

The Order of Merlin (OoM) is an AU site based in the Harry Potter universe 8 years after the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. We're over 17 years old and still going strong with our small and cozy community! We are a dedicated roleplay site full of adults who like to play make-believe.

OoM is a plot-free roleplay site where players can focus on personal stories rather than an overarching one. All that we ask is that characters play consistent to the year of the site.

Set in the year 2006, everyone felt like recovery from the Second Wizarding War was possible. Just as they were picking up the pieces, another battle ensued nearly taking the British corner of the wizarding world with it. That was the Battle for the Blood Moon. Ever since its resolve, wizarding life is what you'd expect: students attending Hogwarts, professionals in the Ministry, shopkeepers working in the streets, and everyone trying to move on and live peaceably. Trauma bubbles under the surface, grief and mourning is in the air, but the world is calmer and quieter now. Even while the Ministry tries to find Greyback and finally put the latest assault to rest.

HOME THE RULES CANON LIST

It is the year 2021 after the big battle of Hogwarts, defeating the Dark Lord years back things have only settled they were never fully safe. An uprising has occurred again and the damage has been done when Harry Potter was murdered by an unknown dark source. Aurors are vanishing, prisoners are escaping Azkaban, things are out of control. What will happen now that good and evil are facing each other again. A new school term has started, parents worry about their children's safety. Will the Potters avenge their father's death? Will evil rise or will good conquer evil? Only time will tell.

This just in, Harry Potter murdered not far from his home in Godric's Hollows. There is no clue how the Potter family is taking this tragic lost. Family and friends look to find the source of death. The findings revealed shortly after point to the unforgivable curse, Avada Kedavra. This being the result of instant death. Mayhem and panic spread through out the wizarding world.
