This is the graveyard where many wizards and witches are buried. Tombstones are everywhere, some quite elaborate and fancy and some little more than large rocks.

A well-known inn and a frequent haunt of Hogwarts students. It's warm and comfortable, is packed every time Harry goes in, and is a great spot to drink butterbeer, although they also serve firewhisky, gillywater, mulled mead, red currant rum, and even cherry syrup and soda with ice and an umbrella.

The last owner, Madam Rosmerta, who Ron enjoyed watching left after being under an Imperius Curse and couldn't stay around - was then purchased by Joseph Carver who is just as lovely and focuses on the best quality service for students and wizards. However up until recently, had just had his family murdered in their little cottage outside of Hogsmeade - the business is currently up for sale.

A sweetshop, previously owned by Ambrosius Flume and his wife, which is filled with shelves upon shelves of the most succulent-looking sweets imaginable. In addition to the standard wizarding candy that is sold there, the owners also make their own fudge and chocolate. For obvious reasons, the shop is quite a popular destination for Hogwarts students when visiting Hogsmeade on the weekends.

Down in the cellar of the shop, amidst the boxes and wooden crates and known to only a select few people, is a trap door in the dusty floor - which opens to reveal a secret passageway to Hogwarts.

It's now owned by Kate McCarthy, run by various employees during the school season.

Zonko's is a favourite place for Hogwarts students to shop. They carry "jokes and tricks to fulfill even Fred & George's wildest dreams," including Dungbombs, Hiccup Sweets, Frog Spawn Soap, and Nose-Biting Teacups.

A small, cramped tea shop with decor on the tacky side of frilly (such as floating golden cherubs throwing pink confetti), located just off High Street. The only Hogwarts students who seem to patronize the place are trysting couples.

A potion shop, nestled into a dark little corner just off the main street in Hogsmeade. The ceramic tiles seem to glitter in the afternoon sun, setting a subtle kaleidoscope of color against the neighboring homes and storefronts. Inside the shop gives the impression it is dark though various potions in bottles, pipes, decanters, distillers glow with fierce, mysterious light.

Behind the counter the shop owner (and recent Hogwarts graduate) Victra Calliope stirs her strange brews. Customers, adults and students alike, come for her liquid euphoria, flirt potions, and all manner of espresso beverages. There always seem to be one or two patrons conversing jovially in the cafe corner under the constant beat of muggle electronic music.

Falsely rumored to be "the most haunted building in Britain," the Shrieking Shack is a favorite stop on any Hogsmeade visit. However, the wails that were once heard emanating from this creepy building were not in fact ghosts, but rather Remus Lupin transformed into a werewolf. The shack, in fact, was built when he came to Hogwarts, allowing him to transform a safe distance away from the other students. The shack cannot be broken into from the outside, it must be entered instead through a secret passageway, the mouth of which lies under the Whomping Willow.

Located a block or so off High Street, the Hog's Head Inn has been a fixture of Hogsmeade for hundreds of years. A worn-out wooden sign hangs over the door, advertising with a "wild boar's severed head leaking blood onto the white cloth around it". It's known for its cheapness, at least relative to the Three Broomsticks down the street, and attracts interesting clientele.

The only wizarding post office we ever hear of, where at least three hundred owls, from Great Grays to tiny Scops ("Local Deliveries Only"), wait to carry messages. They sit on shelves that are color-coded, depending on how fast you want your letter to get to its destination. It is also referred to as an owl office.
