Just like every great RPG site, we have to have rules just as much as everyone else. I don't personally like rules, but to keep a happy and safe forum, they have to be enforced.
If you are found not obeying these rules, there will be an issue of punishment. The last, resulting in Baning of your IP address. But, lets hope that it doesn't come down to that!
1.) THIRD PERSON RULE Please, people, we have to roleplay in third person. So, that means... no 'I's', 'me', 'my', 'our'. If you have difficulty understanding please pm myself (admin). I'll help you understand in a crash course English Lesson!
Of course, you are allowed first person in any boards not strictly for game playing purposes, and where you're specifically allowed for first person (ie. Character Plot boards).
1.1 )POSTING Trying to understand who posts next in a thread including more than two people can be difficult. To make it easiest for everyone, for the person creating the thread to state in OOC the posting order for the thread. Eg. Harry 1st, Ron 2nd, Hermione 3rd.

2.) QUOTATION MARKS These are essential in letting the other player know when your character is talking. It is a must! Quotation marks are "These".
3.) RELATIONSHIPS We are allowed to have some marriages. BUT, in saying that marriages must be in relation to the books, and very much in canon context. So, no... Hermione and Draco can't get married, and Harry can't marry him either.
4.) CHILDREN I do allow children. EG. If Ron and Hermione got married and had a child at the end of their 7th year, then that child can not be of Hogwarts age, but I will allow them to be godmodded by the parents. Of course, please run it by me before sprouting children around the site. Please be sensible with the plot lines.
5.) STUDENT MARRIAGE Do I allow students to get married? No. Only those who have graduated will be permitted to elope or tie the knot. They must be 18 years or over.
6.) APPARATE Your character must be older then 17 to be able to apparate. Your character cannot possibly be able to apparate if he or she is a first year. Also, apparition is not allowed on St Mungo's grounds. It is allowed in other places, but not in St Mungo's. Your character will need to leave St Mungo's grounds before they will be able to apparate.
7.) HOUSE RIVALRY Try to make your characters more realistic. Most Slytherins must hate Gryffindors and most Gryffindors must hate Slytherins. If you read Harry Potter, you never see any Slytherins and Gryffindors getting along. There may be some exceptions, but make sure to hate the majority of your rival house.
8.) ABILITIES If you would like your character to be a werewolf, vampire, animagus, metamorphagus, etc and you must specify in your character profile, as well as post in the 'Ability' section to be accepted.
However, if you wish for your character to be bitten or change by werewolf or vampire you need to ask me for permission, give me a pm!
10.) KILLING OTHER CHARACTERS Your character cannot murder another character unless you have their full permission. You wouldn't want someone killing off your character, because it would mean the end of that character on the site. I have a member group for those who have been killed, once they are killed, they will be in the grave yard with a tribute.
Please notify me if your character has been killed, and I will post the tribute.
11.) AGES Please keep this in mind. If you are a first year, your character can not possibly be 15 years old. Your character should also act their age.
The ages are:
First Years: 11-12 year old Second Years: 12-13 years old Third Years: 13-14 years old Fourth years: 14-15 years old Fifth Years: 15-16 years old Sixth Years: 16-17 years old Seventh Years: 17-18 years old
12.) Keep in mind these rules are subject to change, so please keep an eye open. We wouldn't like you to break any of these rules. If you see anyone who have been misguided, please pm me and I will deal with it!
13.) FIGHTING. Just like any site, we do not encourage OOC (Out Of Character) fighting. There will not be any fighting on the cbox, if I see that there are any sort of fighting, banning will be issued to both parties. Second code word is: snogging
14.) OTHER SITE CHARACTERS If you are on other HP sites, you're more than welcome to bring those characters over to here. You can keep their history or at least modify it so it corresponds with our plot.
15) SPAMMING There will be no spamming on this site either in the c-box, thread or via PM. If you are caught spamming you will be given one warning. If you continue to spam, you will be banned.
16) GRAPHICS I allow signatures of your character, however I do not like large ones. The Max size for a signature is 500 (width) x 180 (height). Those who have too large of graphics will be removed. For more information click ... here...
17) TIME LINES As I mentioned in this Thread. The basis of the time line is so we can work on threads with a little more structure. Sometimes it's hard to understand what the weather is like, or if one character has already met another. So, at the top of your thread, state the DATE and MONTH of when your thread starts to avoid confusion. -----
These rules are enforced, if we find you are not co-operate. Admins will make the necessary adjustments that is best for the site, and that may include immediate banning.

If you have not read these rules properly, your character will not be accepted.
