This position involves keeping track and control over Hit Wizards, Aurors, Magical Law Enforcement Patrol, Improper Use of Magic & Misuse of Muggle Artifacts offices. All criminal activity, however small, goes through this position eventually. This position includes working in sync with the Wizengamot and Magical Barristers offices for trial and prosecution of criminals if the crime(s) warrant.

Hit Wizards are a team of highly trained wizards tasked with monitoring movements, tracking down, and arresting dangerous magical criminals. Considered the equivalent of a Muggle S.W.A.T. Team, Hit Wizards are not permitted to work on field assignments alone and must be partnered with another Criminal Apprehension Division employee.

This job is so dangerous that St. Mungo's has a hospital bed on reserve for everyone in this division. But then, Callisto Havik knows all of them and keeps beds open for the most prone of the Hit Wizards.

Cubicles are scattered around the area, many dusty and empty now. Aurors are a group of highly trained witches and wizards that are able to investigate serious crimes and track down the ones involved. Most of these crimes are of a dark nature, many of the times Dark Arts related. They are the equivalent of the Muggle's Detectives, and even to a point Counter-Terrorism operatives.

Many Aurors were lost during the second wizarding war, so recruitment has been minimal since due to the lack of desire or training required.

Magical Law Enforcement Patrol is the equivalent of Muggle Police. This team is for the day-to-day enforcement of Magical Laws. This includes enforcement of intoxicating substances (not just alcohol!) being sold to underage wizards and witches, as well as the detection and confiscation of false spells and objects.

This is the first line of enforcement in the Wizarding World. They often pair off with Improper Use of Magic Officers, Obliviators and Muggle-Excuse teams to resolve accidental or purposeful exposure of the Magical World.

This office is notified when an underage witch or wizard does magic outside of a magical setting. Or when magic is being improperly used, or is exposed to Muggles.

Where items from raids and seizures of goods come to be inspected and disposed of if necessary. This is a closed-off little area within the Magical Law Enforcement Department for a very good set of reasons.

First, Arthur Weasley has an obsession with Muggle items, particularly plugs and rubber ducks, hence the one on his door. We've learned to live with it. It's the least hazardous thing about this section of the department.

Second, Aiden O'Riley and Astoria Greengrass. The pair sit opposite one another across the hall and chronically leave their office doors open. This leads to one of them starting a throwing contest of small and harmless objects across the hallway. You'll often find paperclips, staples, paper balls, eraser caps, even thumbtacks. Everyone in the department has learned to watch their step when entering this corridor, it's hazardous to the health of your shoes, and sometimes your head if you get caught in a throwing contest between the girls. It's encouraged that you knock loudly on the hallway door, and if no one answers, make yourself known.

Also, after a recent event of the entire floor flooding, this door is kept shut when no one is going in or out of this office area. Precautions and all. The custodial staff was not impressed with the amount of water that was needed to clean up. Neither was the rest of the department.
