The dungeons of Hogwarts Castle are located under the school, and it is colder there than in the main castle. Contrary to popular rumor, Snape does not live there, nor do vampires. You will also be able to find the Potions Lab, Slytherin & Hufflepuff Common Rooms and the Kitchen.

The Hogwarts Entrance Hall is located on the ground floor of Hogwarts, with a wide marble staircase opposite the oak doors. Double doors to the right lead into the Great Hall. The Hufflepuff common room, the kitchens, the dungeons, and the Grand Staircase can also be accessed via the Entrance Hall. There is also an annex off the hall where Professor McGonagall speaks to the first years before the Sorting ceremony at the beginning of each school year.

At the top of the large Marble staircase you will find the first floor. This is the first point of access for the rest of the school, you will find a lot of classrooms as well as the Hospital Wing.

On this floor is the girls' lavatory (also known as Moaning Myrtle's bathroom). It has been out of order ever since a student named Myrtle was killed there. Myrtle has haunted the bathroom ever since, leading it to be a place most students do not want to enter. This bathroom holds the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets -- which of course is no longer accessible.

The third floor is possibly one of the most frequented floors in Hogwarts. Like all other floors in Hogwarts castle, the third floor is conjoined with moving staircases. Located on the third floor is the Charms Corridor, which branches off to the Charms Classroom.

The Library is one of the largest spaces in the castle, almost rivaling the Great Hall. It spans across for most of the whole floor, leaving a small storage room and a small professor's office.

There is a special bathroom that is restricted to use by school Prefects, Head Boys, Head Girls and Quidditch captains. It is located on the fifth floor behind the fourth door to the left of a statue of Boris the Bewildered, which only opens when given the correct password. You will also be able to find the Ravenclaw Common Room on this floor.

Home to the Mythology Classroom, of course there are marble staircases leading up to the floor above. The Boy's bathroom is also located on this floor, is said to be almost the exact same as the Girls' Bathrooms, minus Moaning Myrtle.

On this floor you will be able to find the Gryffindor Common Room. Kept watch by the Fat Lady Portrait, she is a pleasure if you listen to her singing, just don't tell her you don't like it.

There are many towers to Hogwarts. Every tower has its purpose, even when some aren't currently being used. You will be able to access the Headmaster's office & Astronomy Tower.
